Hello, Tempus! You can call me Hicku, and I bring four new characters to perhaps join your ranks! This seems like an awesome dressing room, and I hope they can all have some fun getting to know people and getting into trouble here. It will probably eventually be five, but I need to get off my lazy behind and write up some info for the OC. Also, some of them might occasionally get morphed or re-introduced as AUs, because I have a serious weakness for AUs.
First, there's this girl - Minako Arisato, the genderswapped protagonist of
Persona 3. Although she is a silent protagonist, Minako is generally accepted to be a bright, cheerful sort of person with fairly boundless optimism and confidence, and vast reserves of courage in the face of the impossible. She sometimes looks before she leaps, and often bites off more than she can chew. And, when her emotions do get bottled up, they tend to overflow in a big way. But, mostly, she likes making friends, she likes being there for her friends, she likes doing everything. Minako's canon point is
post game, after things fade to black on the school rooftop.
Next up is Mao (
freshmanleader ), of
Disgaea 3. Mao, as a demon, has a serious case of Blue and Orange Morality that will probably seem a bit inexplicable to some. He's a demon of twisted up tastes, serious emotional issues, and a lot of power to back it up. Overall, his personality can come off as very mercurial - he can be cackling maniacally one minute and then screaming in rage the next. He genuinely doesn't mean any harm, though, by and large, although it can be very hard to tell. He also has something of a fractured heart and alternate facets of himself that might occasionally make an appearance - I've made a few posts about relevant information on his journal. I'm going to be trying something a little different, and taking Mao from the
Human World Ending, also known as the Bad Ending. This means that he's probably going to be even more of a jerk than usual, although the limits of the game will of course prevent him from annihilating creation again.
Tara Maclay (
moontothetide ) hails from
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She's generally a bit subdued and soft spoken and shy. In unfamiliar situations, she's highly nervous and anxious. However, when she gets more comfortable in herself and with the people around her, she's very much a mother type figure, a good listener and source of advice and shoulder to cry on. Even if she's easily frightened, she doesn't let harm come to herself or the people she cares about if she can possibly do anything about it. And sometimes she can, because Tara is a fairly powerful witch. There's a "spellbook" post on her journal containing a list of whatever spells you're likely to encounter from her, and it will be added to as necessary. She's also a lesbian, for what it's worth. Tara's canon point is after her death in "Seeing Red".
Finally is Rupert Giles (
consultmybooks ), also from
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He's a badass old guy - that's really the only way to phrase it. He's spent most of his life researching and training to fight the supernatural elements in the world, and spends most of the series as a mentor and surrogate parental figure to the titular protagonist. Giles is generally reserved and quiet and really very old fashioned and British. He likes his tea, he likes his records, he considers possessing a television to be a source of shame and it takes him nine years to get a cell phone. He is also ferociously protective of anyone he cares about, especially if they're significantly younger. Don't get him mad. He's really scary when he's mad. But at the same time, buried under all that stodginess and seriousness, is a somewhat dry sense of humor and a real desire to help his friends and pass on the good advice he's acquired over his long life. Giles is also being taken from after his death in Season 8's "Last Gleaming, Part 4".
If you have any questions, feel free to ask 'em! All these guys have a HMD that should be up to spec, or you can ask here! Otherwise, I look forward to playing with you all, and I hope I have fun here!
